He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. "Bud" Hixson and Mae Hensley Hixson; his siblings, Alvin Hixson, Lorene Lightfoot and Marva Jean Boynton; and his son Verlon Lacey.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Hixson (Velma), Tony Hixson (Susan), Luna Jeanne Harbin (Kirk) and Celena Paulette Allen. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren Several great grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.
