He is survived by: his wife Ella Smith Cornett; his children, Pamela R. Cornett and Anthony L. Cornett (Stacy); his granddaughters, Hannah and Emma; his siblings, Juanita Johnson (Al), D. R. Cornett (Lynn), Regina Evans, Lawrence Cornett (Teri), Ada Elizabeth Smith (Jerry) and Stanley Cornett (LeVon); his grandson Hayden Cornett; and his nephews, David Evans, Brett Smith, Nathan Sansing, Brent Tinker and Clint Carroll The. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The military honors was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM. A burial was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at the Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
