It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith McCurdy Ellis of Henagar, Alabama, who passed away on June 12, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruben Bernard and Mammie Lee Beard McCurdy; her son David Caldwell; and her siblings, Roetha Gilbert, Rex McCurdy, Lebron McCurdy, Lillian, Alice, Ruben and Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Bates (Bill), Robin Newsome, Ray Caldwell (Jade) and James Woolbright; and her sisters, Reba Coleman, Loretta Goins and Mona McCurdy. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren.
