He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Bonard "J. B." Wilks and Ruby Ivey Wilks; his sister June Wilks Padgett; and his daughter Teresa Wilks Hulsey Andy. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Brooks Wilks of Henagar; his daughter Pat Wilks Bryant (Stanley); his brother Rex Wilks of Henagar; and his grandchildren, Carter Hulsey of Huntsville, AL, Emma Hulsey of Alexandria, AL, Seth Bryant (Brittany) of Henagar, AL and Bailey Bryant (Lauren) of Henagar, AL.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kerby Funeral Home (17554 AL-75, Henagar, AL 35978). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
