He was predeceased by: his former wife Tillie Clayton Bailey; his parents, Virginia Bailey and Howard Bailey; his parents-in-law, Lane and Eva Clayton; his sister Reba Bailey Caldwell; and his brother-in-law Larry Clayton.

He is survived by: his wife Shawnna Ellis Bailey; his children, Dawn Duffy (Evan), Hannah Harmon, Howard Bailey (Dotti) and Justin Harmon (Ashton); his grandchildren, Hope, Taylor, Brooke (David), Brittnay and Emelia; his great grandchildren, Braxtan, Brenleigh and Briar Rose; his siblings, Warren (Sandra) and Sherrill Bailey Benson; and his sister-in-law Cathy Goff Clayton. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
