We are sad to announce that on September 16, 2022, at the age of 82, Emmett Smith III of Helena, Alabama, born in Canton, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Victoria Houston Hill Smith; and his parents, Emmett Taylor Smith, Jr. and Mary Kathryn Ray Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Walter Thomas, Eugene Thomas and Theresa Ford; his daughters, Tyane Dietz (Don), Temple Rodriguez (Gilbert) and Kathryn Evans (Victor); his stepchildren, Troy Hill, Dr. Trey Hill (Jenny) and Tami Toups (Gabe); his grandchildren, Courtney Gehrmann, Will Gehrmann and Grayson; his stepgrandchildren, Victoria Toups (Tori), Gabe Toups, Emma Toups and Sophie Hill; his sisters, Sandra Debenport and Rose Teer (John); and his nieces and nephews, Dan Debenport, Dylan Thomas, Misty Sturrock and Nicole Thomas.
