He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Fedkovich Martin and Theodore Frank Martin of Wyandotte, Michigan.; his wife Lila Elaine Appling of Birmingham, Alabama.; his children, Andrea Newman, Stephanie Harless (Lance) and Craig Martin; his grandchildren, Tatum Harless (Landin Henderson), Amber Harless Prater (Sam) and Connor Martin; and his sister Lydia Gallow (Dennis). He was also cherished by extended family; and close friends.
