He was predeceased by: his parents, Benson Hyatt and Inez Hyatt; his son Audie Vernon Hyatt; and his siblings, Verlin Hyatt, Verbon Hyatt, Barbara Morgan and Rudine Morgan.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Hyatt; his daughter Deretha Eason (Donnie); his daughter-in-law Evon Hyatt; his granddaughters, Audrea Hilburn (Mark) and Loni Austin (Chad); his great grandchildren, Cori Austin, Kyree Hilburn and Carlee Austin; and his brother Larry Hyatt (Sharon). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Happy Hill Baptist Church.
