He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Cochran McElroy; his stepfather William McElroy (Bill); his father Hardin McDaniel; his sister Peggy Shealy; his half-sisters, Linda Smith and Brenda Cathy; and his brothers, Ralph McDaniel and Hardin McDaniel (Junior).
He is survived by: his wife Jane Jenkins McDaniel; his children, Jamie Lynn McDaniel and Jadah McDaniel McVay (Brad McVay); his granddaughters, Anna, Bella, Allie, Brooklyn, Caitlyn and Chloe McVay; his sweet little Yorkie Happy; and his brothers, Wendell McDaniel (Mary) and Garry McDaniel (Carol). He is also survived by his family and his many special friends.
