He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie James Smith and Ruby Edwards Smith; his brothers, Jerry Smith and Donald Smith; his siblings-in-law, Wanda Parker Smith, Ann Gentry Smith and David Charles; and his nephew Ronald Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Smith; his children, Cassie Shelton (Bobby) and Andrew Smith (Skylin Hutcheson); his stepdaughter Julie Sparks (Justin); his grandchildren, Trae, Addie Shelton, Jaxon, River, Briar, Jagger, Hailey and Leighton Sparks; and his siblings, Edith Sullivan, Edna Charles, Rebecca Smith, Vernon Smith and James Smith Numerous. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces & Nephews.
