He was predeceased by: his daughter Lisa Pettit; and his brothers, Robert Ragan, Clifford Ragan, Mack Ragan and William Ragan.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Pruitt Ragan of Heflin; his children, Margie Bearden (Ernie) of Heflin, Wanda Brooks (Kevin) of Heflin, Ray Ragan of Wedowee and Paul Ragan (Donna) of Delta; his son-in-law Chris Pettit of Heflin; and his siblings, Betty Vaughn of Gadsden and Thurman Ragan of Kilpatrick, AL.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
