He was predeceased by: his parents, W. E. Jones, Sr. and Estelle Norton Jones; his wife Mary Lorene Jones; and his siblings, Genell Gossage, W. E. Jones, Jr. and Charles Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Bass (Mack) of Pell City, Mylinda Brown (Merlyn) of Heflin and Lamar Jones (Sharon) of Heflin; his grandchildren, Heath Jones (Kelly Underwood), Laci Buga (Chris), Katelyn Moore (Matthew) and Claire Morrow (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Alex Buga, Grayson Moore, Emma Kate Moore and Ellisyn Moore; and his sister Jacqueline Shealy (Carrol). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Harold Jones to either the Lucile L. Morgan Public Library (541 Ross Street, Heflin, AL 36264) or to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Alabama-Gadsden Chapter, an organization that builds and delivers fully furnished beds to local children in need.
