He was predeceased by: his mother Mozelle Clark; his grandfather Jeff Cox; his wife Betty Jean Cox; his brother Jimmy Cox; and his son-in-law Billy Ledford.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Hugh Cox (Tammy), Danny Cox (Nancy) and Kathey Cox Ledford; and his caregiver Selena Gordon. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
