It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charlotte Ann Hyatt of Heflin, Alabama, who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Rooks and Pauline Rooks. She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Yancy; her siblings, Peggy Cochran (Charlie), Rudy Rooks (Peggy) and Randy Rooks (Teresa); her grandchildren, Kolton Yancy and MaKayla McClenton (Eric); and her great grandchildren, Corey Cochran, Craig Rooks, Justin Rooks, Kolton Yancy, Eric McClenton and Aidan Cochran. She is also survived by mom who provided child care for many children.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dryden Funeral Home (1467 Almon St, Heflin, AL 36264). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Harmony Baptist Church Building fund.
