He is survived by: his wife Barbara Leggett Benefield; his sons, Scott Benefield (Cindy) and Jamie Benefield (Tammy); his siblings, Vena Brown (James), Vertis Benefield and Roger Benefield; his grandchildren, Brittney Dalton (Seth), Kyle King (Lauren), Daniel Benefield (Hannah), Haley Lepard (Brandon), Hannah Benefield, Jeremiah Benefield, Zach Benefield and Bailey Benefield; and his great grandchildren, Rocky Dalton, Della Benefield and Murphy Dalton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
