Norman Lafayette left this world on January 13, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Collie Eugene White and Odessa Hicks White; his wife Mattie Hartzog White; his son Wayne White; and his siblings, Carl E. White, Melba Yeomans and Sue Sims.
He is survived by: his children, Marie White Whiddon and Randy White (Kevin); his daughter-in-law Tanya White; his sisters, Josie Ann Whaley of Bainbridge, GA and Linda Aman; his grandchildren, Chris Whiddon, Jessica Welch (Matthew), Josh White, Jordan White (Felicia), Chastity Turner (Joseph) and Brandon White (Chloe); and his great grandchildren, Aiden Whiddon, Josie Rae Welch, Ellison Cole Welch and Charlie Wayne White.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel (305 Main St, Headland, AL 36345). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gardens (6200 US-431, Headland, AL 36345).
