We bid farewell to Nina Smith Wilcox of Headland, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 26, 2025 at the age of 81. Nina Smith touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Nina Smith may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nina Smith touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Smith, Sr. and Irone Boutwell Sumblin; her stepfather Tolbert Sumblin; and her brother Howard Smith, Jr. (Saundra). She is survived by: her children, Mark Wilcox (Heather) and Delynne Wilcox; her sister Susan Sumblin (Tim); her granddaughter Shelli Solomon (Carey); and her great grandchild Elli Solomon. She is also survived by nieces & nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens (508 AL-52, Opp, AL 36467).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Gentiva Hospice of Enterprise or the activities program at Wiregrass Nursing Home in Geneva.
