He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyatt Isaiah Givens and Leola Florence O'Daniels Givens; his wife Ella Verna Rister Givens; his stepgreat-grandchild McCall Akin; and his siblings, Dewey Givens, Jay Givens, Ray Givens, Bill Givens, Marvette Givens, Howard Givens, Byrd Givens, Sallie Mae G. McClenny and Alice G. Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Charlotte G. Nichols (Ron), Julius R. Givens, Jr. (Noreen) of Lawrenceville, GA and Mark A. Givens (Beth); his sister-in-law Pat Rister; his grandchildren, Cathy Carroll, Andy Givens (Ashley), Abby Givens McKay, Grant Givens (Lindsey) and Laurabeth Givens Thomas; and his stepgranddaughter Marisa Akin. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.
