He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Andrews Thornton; his son Thomas Fort Thornton (Cynthia); his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Whetstone (Mabrey) of Wetumpka, AL and Terry Andrews; his mother-in-law Jeanelle Andrews; his grandchildren, April Collins (Jeff) and Tisha Aycock; and his great grandchildren, Tanner Collins, Walker Collins, Benjamin Holsapple, Cooper Holsapple and Annabel Holsapple.
