He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thomas Sanders and Nora Elizabeth Parker Sanders; his son Randall Eugene Sanders; and his brothers, Robert Sanders, Buford Sanders and James Sanders.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Brooks Sanders; his daughters, Connie Watkins (Eddie) and Tina Hughes (Stephan); his siblings, Lorell Mims (Kinsey), Linda Woodham, Larry Sanders (Sheila) of Dothan and David Sanders (Janice) of Dothan; and his grandchildren, Wesley Watkins, Hannah Doswell (Austin), Peyton Watkins, Jonathan Hughes, Trevor Hughes and Bailey Hughes.
