He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Alexander Armstrong and Cula Mae Rich Armstrong; his wife Marvell Adams Armstrong; his son Ricky Armstrong; and his brothers, Paul Armstrong, W. A. Armstrong and Wayne Armstrong.
He is survived by: his sons, Rodney Armstrong (Trina) and Randy Armstrong (Tammy); his sister Annette Hartzog (Jerry); his sister-in-law Christine Armstrong; his brother Cary Armstrong; and his grandchildren, Chris Armstrong, Brent Armstrong (Lindsey), Ellana Newsome (Norman), Bradley Armstrong (Kaylee), Sherri Hunt (Jeremy) and Wendi Rogel (Hector).
