She was predeceased by: her parents, Webster Lee Rister and Pastora Brackin Rister; her granddaughter McCall Akin; her siblings, Quintelene Rister, Mildred R. Hinson, Lois R. Branch, Giscene Weaver, Maurice Rister, Phil Rister and Neil Rister; and her stepmother Birdie Kirkland Rister.
She is survived by: her husband Julius Ralph Givens, Sr.; her children, Charlotte G. Nichols (Ron), Julius R. Givens, Jr. (Noreen) and Mark A. Givens (Headland); her sister-in-law Pat Rister of Headland; and her grandchildren, Cathy Carroll, Andy Givens (Ashley), Abby McKay (Trey), Grant Givens (Lindsey), Laurabeth Givens and Marisa Akin (Andy). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
