He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Luther Starling and Jimmie Lou Wilson Starling; his brother Craig Starling; and his son-in-law Alan Devier. He is survived by: his wife Debra Watkins Starling; his daughters, Kristie Starling Holman (David) of Summerville, SC and Kimberly Starling Devier of Goose Creek, SC; his stepchildren, Drew Key (Kellie), Drake Key (Suzanne) and Denton Key of Nashville, TN; his siblings, Kaye McCord (Van) of Greenville, SC and Gary Starling; his grandchildren, Jordan Werner (Ben Werner), Joshua Platt and Logan Devier; his stepgrandchildren, Emilia Key and Brantley Platt; and his great grandchild Pierce Werner.
