With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jo Lassiter of Hazel Green, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 9, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Jo shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jo farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bascom Erasmus Lassiter Jr.; her siblings, Donald Peeples, Dorothy Curlee and Glenda Fogelman; and her parents, Burty Alan Peeples and Ella Mae Bowman Peeples.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Bascom "Buddy" Lassister (Traci); her daughter Cindy Shepard; her grandsons, Curtis Shepard, Wesley Shepard and Tyler Lassiter (Kelli); and her great grandchild Addilyn Lassiter. She is also survived by family members include her son.
