He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Adkins and Virginia Adkins; his brother Douglas Adkins; and his sister-in-law Patsy Adkins. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Leabert Carter; his sons, Shane (Lisa Adkins) and Dan Adkins; and his grandson Jim Adkins.
