He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Cothren and Mildred Eakes Cothren; his wife Phyllis Ann Cothren; his granddaughter Abigail Cothren; and his sisters, Juanita Cothren, Ruth Hicks, Lila Faye Caldwell and Jeanette Swinford.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Dabbs (Brent) of Taft, TN and Anthony Cothren (Rachel Michelle) of Hazel Green, AL; his grandchildren, Brittney Watson (Wade), Aaron Watson (Angel), Amanda Taylor (Travis), Levi Lanier, Emma Cothren, Alyssa Cothren and Tessa Cothren; his great grandchildren, Bayleigh Riggs, Gracelyn Riggs, Bellamy Riggs, Dallas Riggs, Axel Watson, Gauge Dabbs and Ty Taylor; and his siblings, Yvonne Hicks, Sarah Price, Linda Riddle, Nancy Bankston, Johnny Cothren, Frankie Cothren and David Cothren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home (508 W College St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
