He was predeceased by: his children, James "Bubba" Dupree Jr. and Kelly Dupree Ellenburg; his granddaughter Lindsey Dupree; and his siblings, Wesley Dupree, Robert Dupree, Eason Dupree, Joseph Dupree, Orville Dupree, Lillian Pike and Doris Grider.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Dupree; his son Steve; his daughter-in-law Charlotte Phillips; his sister Mary Snipes; his niece Marcia Edwards; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
