He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carral Maddox and Dorothy Maddox; his wife Glenda Maddox; his siblings, Duane Maddox, Bill Maddox and Alice Lister; his children, John Russell Maddox, Ramey George Maddox, Kathryn Jamie Maddox, William Kendall Helton, Melodie Joy Helton McLain and Alicia Jeanne Hilton-Gaskin; and his siblings, Edward Carral, James Hain Maddox and Evelyn Poulos. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
