He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Wilburn and Beatrice Wilburn; his son John Kerry Wilburn; and his siblings, Burl "Junior" Wilburn, Edward Wilburn, Jimmy Wilburn, Houston Wilburn, Jesse "Jip" Wilburn, Earl Wilburn, Christine Flynt and Bettie Whaley.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Wilburn; his children, Steven Wilburn, Paul Hunt, Lori Bartlett (Thomas Wiley) and Marsha Hunt; and his grandsons, Patrick Wiley and Ian Wiley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
