He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe and Daler Jo Thomas; his wife Eunice "Mozelle" Thomas; and his sister Elizabeth Childress. He is survived by: his children, Dwight D. Thomas (Sondra), Mark K. Thomas (Celina), Robby Thomas (Kaye) and Phyllis Smith (Donald); his sisters, Hazel Butts and Carolyn Watson (Bill); and his grandchildren, Stephen, Jeremy, Jonathan, Tamara, Jennifer, Angela, Bethanny, Kayla, Hilary and Audria. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
