He was predeceased by: his father James Dillon Sargent. He is survived by: his wife Lanita Lynne Hurst Sargent; his son Marty Brian Sargent (Nikki); his mother Gailya Graves Sargent; his stepmother Shirley Crump Sargent; his mother-in-law Betty Tanksley Hurst; his stepchildren, Courtnay Cheyanne Snow (Jason) and Joshua Alan Vogel (Stephanie); his siblings, Andrew Dale Sargent and Melanie Sargent Ladner (David); and his grandchildren, Savannah Cheyene Sargent and Gavin Sargent (Sarah). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be given to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
