She is survived by: her husband Archie Emerson; her children, Keith Emerson (Martha) and Karen Rowe Kim Simpson (Chip); her grandchildren, Brittany Mitchell A. J. Emerson (Jeremy), Michael Vardaman and Hunter Emerson; and her great grandchildren, Evan Mitchell, Liza Jane Mitchell and Grady Emerson.
