He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. "Tooter" Whisonant and Billie "Louise" Whisonant. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Jacobs Whisonant; his sons, Brandon (Kristy Whisonant) and Jason (Josselyn Whisonant); his grandsons, Grayson Whisonant, Garrett Whisonant and Austin Young; and his brother Steven Whisonant.
