He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Allen and Nettie Gray Allen; and his siblings, Nadine Brasher, Lucille Manley (SA), William Allen (Demple) and James Allen.

He is survived by: his sons, Mike Allen (Faye) of Clay, AL and John Allen (Leah) of Mt. Laurel, AL; and his siblings, Dorothy Green (William) of Hayden, AL and Howard Allen (Willie) of Akron, AL. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
