She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Hayes and Luddie Shockley Hayes; her husband Boyd Thomas Horton; and her siblings, Earl, Earnest Hayes and Ethel Hayes.
She is survived by: her sons, Conrad Horton (Ann) and Bobby Horton (Janet); her grandchildren, Brian Horton (Ginger), Tanya Smith (Ross), Brandon Horton (Jennifer), Kelli Allison (Lee), Brent Horton and Heather Melissa; and her sisters, Myrtle Thomas and Helen Sherbet. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
The lying in state was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the High Rock First Congregational Methodist Church (1460 High Rock Rd, Hayden, AL 35079). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
