He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Baker Chaney and Bernice Elkins Chaney. He is survived by: his wife Sue Elmore Chaney; his son Kenny Chaney (Tara); his siblings, McKinley Lew Chaney (Brenda), Patricia Ann Voce (Walter), Merrell Eugene Chaney (Priscilla), Sarah Jane Cox (Don), John Henry Chaney, Joyce Gail Chaney and Phillip David Chaney (Angel); his grandsons, Walt Chaney (Nicole), Jacob Chaney (Christina) and Samuel Chaney; and his great grandchildren, Bailey Sanders, Lane Sanders, Abby Sanders, Finley Chaney, Collins Chaney and Brynlee Chaney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
