She was predeceased by: her parents, H. B. Christian and Sallie Tipton Christian; her husband Hubert Bowden; her daughter Tabatha "Jill" Dempsey; and her siblings, Buddy Christian, Melvin Christian, Beacher Mae Colbert, Sylvia Brazier, Rachael Wales and Malaysia Holman.
She is survived by: her son David Bowden (Lisa) of Harvest; her children-in-law, Rodney Dempsey of Tanner and Shawn Dempsey; her grandsons, Shawn Bowden (Bre), Brandon Dempsey (Megan), Shane Dempsey, Tyler Dempsey and Seger Dempsey; her great grandchildren, Brenley Dempsey, Raelynn Dempsey, Ryker Dempsey, Eli Bowden and Lucas Bowden; and her sisters, Lerrie Bowden, Vergie Bowden and Vollie Christian. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home (322 US-31, Athens, AL 35611). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
