He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Mitchell and Lannis Herrington Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Mitchell; his children, Charlotte Kirk of Harvest, Michael Mitchell (Ellen) of Harvest and Stephen Mitchell (Rachel) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and his brothers, Harlon Mitchell of Camden and Doyle Mitchell (Marilyn) of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home (322 US-31, Athens, AL 35611). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
