He is survived by: his brothers, Robert Spanyer and James Spanyer; his children, David Spanyer (Sonya) of Ragland, Karen L. Spanyer of Huntsville and Rebecca Spanyer Crabtree of Harvest; his son-in-law Ellis Winborne of Grady Alabama; and his grandchildren, Shelby A. Spanyer, Sydney O. Spanyer, Christy W. Romano (Blake), Robin W. Douglass (Joshua, Sr.) and Frazier Crabtree, Jr. (Lexi).
