He was predeceased by: his parent Shelby Jean Balch of July. He is survived by: his wife Patrice Williams Balch; his children, Matthew Tate Maples and Lesley Anne Balch; his granddaughter Haley Grace Sierra; his father Norman Wendel Balch; and his brothers, Henry Keith (Linda Key) and Brett Bruce Balch.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the National Brain Tumor Society or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
