He was predeceased by: his parent Shelby Jean Balch of July. He is survived by: his wife Patrice Williams Balch; his children, Matthew Tate Maples and Lesley Anne Balch; his granddaughter Haley Grace Sierra; his father Norman Wendel Balch; and his brothers, Henry Keith (Linda Key) and Brett Bruce Balch.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home (1200 E Forrest St, Athens, AL 35613). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the National Brain Tumor Society or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
