He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Burks and Pearlie Tilley Burks; his wife Bonnie Burkes; his brother Hayden Burks; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Burks, Marvin Hale and Hubert Tolbert.
He is survived by: his daughter Wanna Fay Reeder (Paul C.); his grandson Robert Daniel Dobbs; his sister Mavis Hale; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Lollar and Christine Tolbert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
