She was predeceased by: her parents, Flaudy Rufus and Lillie Parker Minter; her former husband David "Buck" Ramon Humphries, Jr.; her spouse Wilder Ernest Barnes; her siblings, Elbert Josiah Minter, Richard Gerry Minter, Martha Minter Templeton and Marie Minter Randall; her son David Glen Barnes (Humphries); and her daughter-in-law Lynn Nohara Barnes.
She is survived by: her sister Lilly Jane Minter William (Padgett); her children, Julia Virginia Barnes Anderson and Samuel Wilder Barnes; her grandchildren, Rebecca Anderson Hampton (Robertson), Kathryn Grant Anderson, Benjamin Wilder Anderson (Paisley) and Curtis Wilder Barnes; and her great grandchildren, Miles Parker-Allen Hampton and Reid Robertson Hampton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
