He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Steele and Clarcy Sellers Steele; his wife Sharon Bodley Steele; and his brothers, Sam Steele, Robert Steele and Dalton "Shorty" Steele (Starlon).
He is survived by: his son Jamie Steele; and his sisters, Stella King (Kermit), Nadine Carver (Larry), Elizabeth Johnson and Sarah Hawthorne (Lawrence).
