He is survived by: his wife Lynda Jenkins Gilchrist; his children, Bill Gilchrist (Angie) of Cotaco and Janet Keeling (John) of Madison; his grandchildren, Patricia Keeling, Eli Gilchrist and Charlotte Gilchrist; and his siblings, Skeggs Gilchrist (Francine) of Priceville, Carolyn Jones (James) of Somerville, Barbra Earle (John) of Huntsville, Dianne Thompson of Trussville and Kay Wilder of Somerville.
