He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Holmes and Elizabeth Marie Burford Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Cara Henderson Holmes; his children, Brandon Holmes (Charisa), Cari Smith (Dirk) and Kathryn Coats (Logan); his brothers, Wallace Thad Holmes (Charlotte) and George Holmes (Jackie); his grandchildren, Christina (Taylor), Constance (Austin), Faith, Elizabeth, Serenity, Lorelai, Gabe, Dalton (Kenleigh) and Nick; and his great grandchildren, Dirk Smith, Victor Banks, Thad Holmes, Keith Holmes, Jarrod McCormick, Adam Cobbs and Dustin Cobbs.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peck Funeral Home (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Peck Funeral Home Chapel (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640).
