He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Long and Virgie Long; his wife Eloise Holbert Long; his son Lyle Long; and his sister Nell Russell.

He is survived by: his sons, Lance Long (Donna) and Lyn Long (Carrie); his sister Jean Moebes; his grandsons, Evan Long, Riley Long, Brandon Long and Cody Long; and his great grandchild Seaonna "CJ" Long.
