He was predeceased by: his parents, John Talmadge Legg and Beauford Estoria Hendrix Legg; his wife Alvilene; and his siblings, Carl Talmadge Legg, Ben Franklin Legg, James Louis Legg and Geraldine Locke.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Legg Gillott, Donna Legg-Battles (Guy) and Nerissa Legg Appleton (Tommy); his sister Maedrue Driver; his siblings-in-law, Rosa Lee Legg and Donald Locke; his grandchildren, Meagan Renee Welden (Barry), Noah Donald Battles (Elsa), Jared Lee Appleton (Kennady), Seth Robert Battles, Alyssa Ellen Appleton and Sarah Ellen Battles Anders (Lane); and his great grandchildren, Dash Weldon, Hampton McBay, Talmadge Appleton, Nathaniel James Battles and Eli Appleton.
