He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Lester and Geneva Holt Taylor; his wife Hazel Summerford Taylor; and his sons, Johnny (Carol) and Chris.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Taylor (Terri) and Kathy Irwin (Michael); his grandchildren, Tim Ward (Anabeth), Brad Irwin (Kaila), Michelle Kelso (Phillip), Matt Taylor (Christi) and Amber Loons (Sean); his great grandchildren, Taylor Ward, Adelyn Ward, Kaiden Irwin, Emalee Irwin, Jordan Kelso, Carter Kelso and Johnny Taylor; and his sister Marie Creecy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to East Highland Baptist Church.
