He is survived by: his wife Brenda Tate; his children, Felicia Tharp, Stephanie Clayton, Danny Joe Tate, Dearl Tate and Dwain Tate of Greensboro, N. C.; and his siblings, June Silavent, Jackie Branton, Wayne Tate of Esto, FL and Don Tate. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
