We are sad to announce that on September 3, 2021, at the age of 71, Gary Hugh Shields of Hartford, Alabama, born in Houston, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Grady Hugh Shields. He is survived by: his mother Ivalene Myers Shields; his wife Mary Ann Dean Shields; his sons, Joshua Garrett Shields and Brandon Trey Shields (Tommie Jo); his grandson Ronnie Brantley; and his sisters, Karon Matheny and Nicole Smith (Edward) of Bluffton, SC. He is also survived by several nieces; nephews; and other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Gary's honor to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Alabama Chapter: 217 County Club Park #432, Birmingham, AL 35213.
